Horror Books I’ve Read in 2025
In honor of Halloween here are some horror books I’ve read this year! I am not a true Horror fan, but this year I’ve had fun reading these books. And most of these are Lite Horror, or young adult because I’m a wimp – I cannot do full on horror. 😅

- Coffin Moon by. Keith Rosson – vampire horror
- The Executioners Three by. Susan Dennard – not a lot of horror, young adult, sorta like Stranger Things
- Soul of Shadow by. Emma Noyes – dark, Norse mythology
- And the River Drags Her Down by. Jihyun Yun – grief, paranormal, body horror
- Predatory Natures by. Amy Goldsmith – plant horror
- Their Monstrous Hearts by. Yiğit Turhan – monstrous butterflies
- Bat Eater and Other Names for Cora Zeng – covid, serial killer, paranormal
- House of Hearts by. Skyla Arndi – family curse, paranormal, secret society
A Spell to Wake the Dead by. Nicole Lesperance – cult, witchcraft

October 7: Satisfying Book Series (Maybe all the books were amazing or there wasn’t any second book syndrome or the final book wrapped everything up soooo perfectly.)
October 14: Non-book Freebie (Come up with a topic that’s not bookish! I’ve only got Bat Eater on my shelf at the moment but I do have my eye on The Dead of Summer and And The River Drags Her Down (that cover though!) 😍 Great list!
The Dead of Summer was kind of a wild zombie thriller – but fun, not scary. But And the River Drags Her Down…was creepy! 😬
I don’t do horror, but maybe I do some lite horror! I love the cover of House of Hearts!
House of Hearts was a fun read – perfect for spooky season!
Great selection! I can’t wait to get a copy of Coffin Moon.
