Book Series I Want to Catch Up On

There are some book series I actually have to finish but sometimes finishing a series is tough, especially when I’m not a big re-reader anymore, so the thought of trying to remember what happened in last book seems so daunting. It’s okay if there is a year break before books but the series with 3 years between books? It’s hard! So here are some series I would like to catch up on or finish.

• Scorched Earth is book 4 in the Dark Shores series but there was so much time between book 3 and 4 that I feel like I have to do a reread of the series before reading this one. I’m not sure but hopefully I’ll figure out what I want to do.
• The Tempest Blade by Danielle L. Jensen also is the 6th book in The Bridge Kingdom and I will get to it eventually.
• Spark of the Everflame by. Penn Cole – I’ve read book one but need to get onto book 2 and the others.

• Mirrored Heavens by. Rebecca Roanhorse – I have this on my bookshelf. I just need to pick it up!
• Thunderhead by. Neal Shusterman – another book I have on my bookshelf and I will get to it.
• Neverthorn by. Shannon Mayer – I know book two is out so I really need to read this. I started but put it down and never picked it up again but not because I didn’t like it. I do – I just forget why I put it down.

• Every Spiral of Fate by. Tahereh Mafi – another book on my shelf but I didn’t read it because it’s not the end of the series yet. So I wanted to read it closer to when the next book releases.
• Empire of the Vampire by. Jay Kristoff – I’ve been wanting to start this series for awhile!
• And Now, Back To You by. B.K. Borison – I’ll definitely be getting to this one eventually. I read book one and enjoyed it!

In the Veins of Drowning by. Kalie Cassidy – it’s been on my TBR so hoping I can get to it.

• Every Spiral of Fate by. Tahereh Mafi – I haven’t read it because someone advised me to wait until the next book comes out first. So I’ve been waiting!
• Rites of the Starling by. Devney Perry – I borrowed this right away (surprised it was available), but for some reason I couldn’t get into it. I’m trying again with the audiobook.
• This Shattered Tempest by. Thea Guanzon – I actually have this as an arc, but I wanted to wait nearer to publication to read this. I may give in and read it earlier though!

• Daybreak by. Autumn Woods – have been waiting on this for a year! And I will read it as soon as it is delivered to me this week.
• For Whom the Belle Tolls by. Jaysea Lynn – found this on Book Outlet, after hearing good reviews for it. I still haven’t read it!
• Witch of Wild Things by. Raquel Vasquez Gilliland – I keep meaning to read this! Hopefully this fall!

• Beneath by. Ariel Sullivan – a recent read this year that was an emotional roller coaster.
• The Winged Game by. Sophie Kim – a recent read that was fun because of the creatures!
• White Lights by. Lauren Kate – a book that was so chaotic, I can’t help think about how crazy it was.

• Alchemised by. SenLinYu – I felt like this was such a reading event in 2025 — hard to forget.
• The Night Prince by. Lauren Palphreyman – this series has a chokehold on me. I’m obsessed with Blake.
• Crown Me yours by. Liv Zander – an unexpected book that made me cry!

• Weavingshaw by. Heba Al-Wasity – such a good book. Can’t wait for the sequel.
• Starside by. Alex Aster – for some reason I can’t stop thinking about this one. Maybe because it was all action and then like 2-3 pages of spice at the end. LOL…kind of wild but I loved the quest.
• The Library of Amorlin by. Kalyn Josephson – Loved this story, it was magical with the creatures but also so tense because of the morally gray FMC.
