Life is sorta back to normal – in laws are gone so “vacation” is kinda over! This week is going back to school shopping and picking up my son’s class scehdule so…yeah school will be back in session in 2 weeks.

Weekly Wrap Up | 7/19/26

Aloha friends!

+ It was a busy week since my in-laws were still here after the bar mitzvah. They just left on Friday but we got to take advantage of guest parking at their hotel and the kids went night swimming at the beach and at the pool for two nights in a row. They had so much fun! I had fun too, it felt like a mini vacation.

+ Today, my hubby is going to the Philippines for a work trip. But it’s back to school shopping time for me and the kids.

I had the busiest week and weekend because of my son’s bar mitzvah and yay it’s done! My in laws are still here, they leave Friday so we are still spending time with them. But my kids go back to school in 3 weeks so I need to get things in order! It just never ends does it? 😅 I am finally getting back to reading, reviewing and posting!

Weekly Wrap Up | 7/12/26

Aloha friends!

+ oh what a week it has been!! Yesterday was my son’s bar mitzvah so we had family fly down from New York and Delaware, played tourist a little in between the planning and getting things ready for the event. We had to do rehearsal, Friday night Shabbat service and then Saturday was the Bar Mitzvah – my heart is full. 🥰 And I am so exhausted. We are so immensely proud of him and his hard work – so many people praised him. It was a long day, but with so many of my family helping me, it was successful! Sometimes I wonder why I worry so much when usually things just work out. 😅. We had family, friends, community and food…then after a much needed nap we went to the hotel my in-laws are staying at and they cooked burgers and hot dogs, the kids did some evening swimming in the pool and then the beach. It was a beautiful Bar Mitzvah day! Now I have one more to do for my daughter in 3 years.

+ Today, we are doing brunch with my hubby’s family who flew down and my immediate family to do one last celebration.

+ now with all of that done…I have to do back to school shopping! And my hubby will be gone for a work trip next week so, it will be just me and the kids again.
