We had a hurricane pass under our island over the weekend and it caused flash flooding, heavy rain, high winds – so glad that though our power did go out here and there, it came back on quick. So kids got the day off on Monday because there was a lot of clean up needed around the island I think – lots of huge trees down, etc…

I did get lots of reading done though!

My kids are back in school today so summer is over for us, boo! But the kids were getting restless at home – my kids hate waking up early but they do like being challenged with school work which I’m glad about. It will give me a little more quiet time in the middle of the day so that will be nice.

I had the busiest week and weekend because of my son’s bar mitzvah and yay it’s done! My in laws are still here, they leave Friday so we are still spending time with them. I don’t know why I ended up reading everything else except the ones on my TBR. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I do blame Libby for making all my audiobooks available to borrow at the same time. 😅 Also for some reason, I was doing a 1000 piece puzzle to do something else with my brain and I got through 3 audiobooks while finishing the puzzle! So I did get through a lot of books because of it. I need to do more puzzles. 😂

This week is filled with family and my son’s Bar Mitzvah on Saturday so I am going to be busy and then…back to school shopping. 🫤

It’s JULY. 🤯. I can’t believe we are at the start of the next half of the year. I have a lot going on this month, the biggest thing is my son’s bar mitzvah coming up in 10 days! We are excited to have it happen and my son is happy to soon be done with it – he’s been studying and practicing so hard for almost a year now. We have family coming down to attend the event. So I will be busy – but when am I not busy? 😅. This year has been kind of crazy!

Haven’t been doing much but keeping my kids fed, keeping the house clean and preparing for my son’s bar mitzvah that is coming up in about 2 weeks. So I’m trying to get that organized! I’m trying to catch up on books I borrowed on Libby and starting on July arcs! It’s summer break so kids are home with me but my son’s bar mitzvah is coming up in less than 4 weeks so we are in the middle of planning and he is busy practicing and getting tutoring. I feel like I mostly recovered from my Philippines trip, I did have a stomach bug a few days after coming home but I feel better today. I am also trying to catch up on my blog reviews!
