I was stuck in ths house with no power for 36 hours and just gloomy weather STILL, so I’ve been reading a lot. And a lot of the books are from Kindle Unlimited because I don’t have tons of arcs for April, so I’m actually done with my arcs! YAY. I love when I’m ahead. 😅. I think I’m doing really good with not requesting as many arcs as last year. It’s leaving my schedule open to reading non-arc books, so I feel good about my reading pace this year, there is less pressure trying to finish NetGalley arcs.

I pre-ordered Stormbreaker and really excited for that one! I’m hoping to start The Bloody and the Damned next week. I hope you enjoy all your reads!
So I just finished Storm Breaker last night and….I’m going to sit with it for a little before doing my review – but it’s looking like a 3.5 read for me?! Maybe I went in with tons of expectations after reading her fantasy books. I can see why Amazon optioned it for a tv series though…but something is missing for me in the character development I think, I just expected more? 😅
Oh, no! I’m sitting here and wondering if I should cancel my pre-order. haha. I mostly bought it because it’s stunning and I really liked her Artefacts series.
The ending is good, the first half is a lot of world building – which is fascinating and I loved the romance! But maybe I went in with all kinds of expectations? It gives Divergent vibes for sure. I am looking forward to book two though! I was going to pre-order because it really is an amazing book cover – but I think someone hinted it’s going to be in the FairyLoot YA box so since I have a sub to that I’m buying it that way.
Ohhh, okay! High expectations are really a pain in the butt, haha. Well, I might save it and keep the pre-order then. I’ve got a little bit to decide. I don’t have FairyLoot but I bet that’s going to be stunning!!
