Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Please check out her website for more TTT topics!

This week’s topic is:
Best Books I Read in 2025
I think 2025 had some really good books! Here are the ones I enjoyed the most:

- The Night Prince by. Lauren Palphreyman – I’m obsessed with Blake.
- Alchemised by. SenLinYu – I gave this a 3.5 stars but I think it’s the most memorable book from 2025. The hype, the length, the romance…
- Red City by. Marie Lu – alchemy was BIG this year! I liked how Red City used it.

- Sunrise on the Reaping by. Suzanne Collins – this book devastated me.
- Tusk Love by. Thea Guanzon – the one book this year that made me smile and feel happy inside! I read too many dark books lol. Loved the audiobook!
- The Fallen and the Kiss of Dust by. Carissa Broadbent – an epic love story.

- Oathbound by. Tracy Deonn – I just want Sel to be okay in the next book!
- Coffin Moon by. Keith Rosson – I didn’t know horror could make me feel like this. 😭
- Atmosphere by. Taylor Jenkins Reid – such a good audiobook, it made me cry.

Bat Eater and Other Names for Cora Zeng by. Kylie Lee Baker – this was out of my comfort zone and I think that’s why I loved it so much!

We have so many overlapping books!! I thought for a minute that I was confused because we talked about Alchemised being 3.5 stars and overhyped. haha. I read your description and I do agree.. the hype and length alone are so memorable!
😅
Bat Eater was an incredible read. I am really looking forward to Japanese Gothic.
Glad you loved it!
I got Tusk Love in a book box and hadn’t heard much about it so I’m glad to see it in your list.
I also just bought Bat Eater. I’ve only heard great things about it.
I listened to Tusk Love as an audiobook and was so enchanted by it, the narrator was great. So I hope it reads good as a hardcover! I loved Bat Eater – hope you enjoy it!
Great selection! I can’t wait to read Atmosphere and Coffin Moon.
Thanks!
Yes to Red City and Bat Eater, those are two absolutely brilliant books! I really need to pick up Atmosphere, I’ve seen it on a few of these top reads posts which just makes me even more eager. I hope you have a fantastic 2026 🙂
