Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Please check out her website for more TTT topics!

This week’s topic is:
Books I Meant to Read in 2023 but Didn’t Get To
So many books fall into this category for me! I tried my best but just couldn’t get to so many books that I wanted to read. Here are some titles I meant to get to in 2023 but didn’t get a chance to:

- Nettle & Bone by. T. Kingfisher – this title is available on Kindle Unlimited so I think I still have a chance to get to it but not in 2023, it’s going to have to be in 2024.
- The Fake Mate by. Lana Ferguson – this was offered to me as a blog tour book but I knew I wouldn’t have a chance to get to it so I didn’t do the blog tour. Kind of wish I did but hopefully I can get a copy of it in 2024.
- The Atlas Paradox by. Olivie Blake – this is on my online library and I had a copy but let it expire. At least I know I can borrow it again, it’ll have to happen in 2024.

- Garden of the Cursed by. Katy Rose Pool – this one has been on my kindle for awhile and I hope I can knock it off my list soon.
- King of Greed by. Ana Huang – I can definitely get to this in January 2024 but not right now.
- The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by. Suzanne Collins – I’ve been wanting to read this because the movie came out and have been putting it off. I finally got a copy again but I may have to push it to 2024.

- The Unmaking of June Farrow by. Adrienne Young – hoping I can get to this one in 2024!
- Weyward by. Emilia Hart – I have this one on Kindle Unlimited but now I kind of may push it to autumn 2024, just for the vibes.
- Witch of Wild Things by. Raquel Vasquez Gillibrand – another book I wanted to read in the fall but didn’t have a chance. May save it for fall 2024.

- From the Grave by. Kresley Cole – I bought this as an ebook but never got to read it yet! It’s the final book in a series and maybe I have no motivation because it’s been so long since the last book was released. I’ll attempt it in 2024.

What’s on your TTT?

I read The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes in 2023 and it was quite good. It took me a lot longer to read than I’d been anticipated and because of that I’ve still not seen the move 😥 haha but it was really interesting to have that insight in President Snow’s origin story, and especially being in his mind and reading his manipulative, paranoid thoughts was a cool reading experience. I hope you love it when you read it!!
Thanks! I just need to find a month where I don’t have too many arcs to read and then I can really sit down and focus on this book!
Good luck with reading these in 2024. I hope you enjoy them all as there are some great books here. I loved Nettle and Bone and also Weyward.
Thanks! I hope I can get to them also!
Hopefully you can get to these soon! I finished up The Fake Mate this month. It was alright but not what I was expecting.
Thanks! We’ll see if I can get to them – there is always new books to read. 🤦🏻♀️😅
So many books here that I wanted to get to myself. Hope you enjoy them when you do pick them up!
Thanks!
Unmaking of June Farrow was fantastic! I also enjoyed Weyward! I hope you get to all of these and enjoy them!
Thanks! I hope so too.
‘Nettle and Bones’ is on my list too. I really enjoyed ‘A House with Good Bones,’ ‘What Moves the Dead,’ and ‘Thornhedge!’ 🙂
I definitely have to get on it and read it! I’ve only heard good things about this author.
Nettle & Bone is amazing. I hope you love it as much as I did. Happy reading!
Thanks! I hope I can get to it some time this year!
