Weekly Wrap Up | 7/23/23

Aloha friends!

It was a fairly chill week as I was still healing from my biopsy but today I finally feel 100% pain free, so that’s awesome. I got a chance to read a few books, a few that I can finally knock off my TBR list! My kids have only 2 more weeks of summer vacation and that’s it. Oh how this summer flew by so fast!

Hope you all had a great week!

Books I Read:

Currently Reading:

I’ve kind of put The Davenports to the side – I’m halfway through, I’m just not in the mood.

I’m halfway through Sign of the Slayer and I had to put House of Striking Oaths to the side, because once more too much info-dumping in the beginning but I’ll come back to it. And Divine Rivals is on Kindle Unlimited! I don’t have a physical or ebook copy so I downloaded from KU and this is a re-read.

Shows/Movies I Watched:

  • Crazy Rich Asians (Prime Video) – that wedding ALWAYS gets me, it always makes me shed a tear…ugh…such a good movie and can we get the sequel already? It’ been 5 years! I want Astrid’s story!
  • A Walk to Remember (Prime Video) – talk about a blast from the past. I will ALWAYS love this movie. It brings back good memories going to the movies with my friends and also, I remember we were bawling our eyes out at the end of this movie! LOL…😭😆
  • Penelope (Prime Video) – another cute movie

How was your week? Did you get a lot done? Watch anything good? Read any amazing books or books you didn’t finish? What are you reading?…Leave me a comment below!

  1. Glad to hear you’re feeling pain-free now! Healing from a biopsy can be tough, but it seems like you managed to fit in some reading. “Twin Crowns” and “The True Love Experiment” look interesting! Have you read any other books by Christina Lauren? Crazy Rich Asians is such a delightful movie; Astrid’s story is much-awaited! Any other movie recommendations? What are you currently reading? Looking forward to your thoughts on Divine Rivals upon re-reading it! 😊

    1. Thank you! I have read about 7 Christina Lauren books now I think? I loved 5 of them and 2 of them were just okay. But I think they are must-read authors for me now. I don’t usually have time to watch movies but for some reason I did last week lol. I just finished Beach Read by Emily Henry and loved it!

  2. It’s crazy that school well be starting soon! My daughter will start next week since we homeschool and I want to start at the beginning of the month.
