Weekly Wrap Up | 4/18/22

Aloha friends!

What a weekend.

Started off last week Sunday with a Passover Seder meal for the kids at the Jewish Temple they attend for Sunday School. Our official Passover Seder meal took place on Friday – I went minimal with the preparation this year because our Easter Sunday Egg Hunt was taking up the bulk of my preparation. Saturday the kids and I cleaned up the house, hubby’s back was out again so he couldn’t really help, I was exhausted. Sunday was our Egg Hunt party and it was so nice spending it with family again! My daughter had fun with her girl cousins, they are around the same age (3-5). The boys are older ages 9-16 so they were more in their own worlds (on their phones 🙄 lol). Once upon a time years ago it was those group of boys running all over my yard in the Egg Hunt 🥲 – now they are too cool for it or whatever lol.

But honestly, 2 years of not hosting parties at my house and without full caffeine now…I was so tired last night and crashed at 8pm. 😳 My body aches today and I woke up with a headache (I was dehydrated from running around all day yesterday) – had to drink a lot of water this morning to get my headache to go away. But today is a school day, so it’s back to the grind for me son. But this means there is only 6 more weeks of school for him and then my first vacation in 10 years!! And our first real family trip after that to the East Coast. Wow…so many things happening. I hope all of you had a Happy Passover, and Happy Easter if you celebrate.

Weekly Wrap Up | 4/10/22

Aloha friends!

Well it seems I’m going to be throwing an Easter Egg hunt next week – so I was busy this weekend trying to plan it. 😅 Do you have any plans for Easter? I also have Passover Seder events to do today for my kids and of course on the official Passover day which is on Friday. So it’s a very busy week! It kinda scares me because this means we are mid-April and my two trips are coming up at the end of May and beginning of June. I hope I can handle all of the events coming up this year!

Weekly Wrap Up | 4/3/22

Aloha friends!

So this week was a chill week and I managed to read a few books! Also I was obsessing over Anthony and Kate from Bridgerton Season 2 because I just love the two of them. Then what happened with Will Smith and Chris Rock at the Oscars took over my twitter feed…that was wild! Then for some reason, I saw that Miley Cyrus released a Live album and I love live music so much and since Wrecking Ball was in Anthony/Kate’s last episode of Season 2 I thought it was just the universe speaking to me LOL 😅. Decided to listen to the album on Friday and well, I’m obsessed. Love how she has that grit in her voice and she can rock out. That was my week, nothing exciting, except reading some books.

Miley Cyrus – Attention (live album) – I love her voice, that grit and power. I wasn’t into her Hannah Montana days except for the song The Climb. And then she went pop and I loved Party in the USA lol…but wow has she really transformed and keeps reinventing herself. I’m here for it. I love how she rocks out.

Weekly Wrap Up | 3/27/22

Aloha friends!

This week went by quick! It did start off with a bad headache but that was due to some sinus/allergies/weather issues plus a crick in my neck from reading. Do you guys ever get that? I always get a sore neck and shoulders if I read too much. My son just got Kirby and the Forgotten Land on the Nintendo Switch and he has been recording his gameplay for his youtube video – and I spent the weekend, editing and uploading them to his channel. So I was trying to schedule blog posts and video posts 😅. It’s been a little exhausting – plus….I binged Bridgerton Season 2 on Netflix and I swear that wasn’t my plan but I just wanted to see the happily ever after but that meant I lost sleep and regretted it the next day LOL.

Good Girls (Season 4 on Netflix) – I finished the whole thing and WHY is there no season 5?! I can’t stand when studios don’t finish off a series…I need closure.
Bridgerton (Season 2 on Netflix) – I wasn’t gonna binge it and what did I do?! I binged it. I regretted it Saturday morning when I only had barely 3 hours of sleep. 😅 But man…I just loved Anthony and Kate antagonizing one another. 😍 And I love Eloise so much, Benedict too (his smiles!). Whoa to Penelope’s villain era and I miss Simon. Now though I loved the slow burn and Anthony’s agony (ugh his need for control broke my heart but I understood him so well…)….I think it had too much of the Featheringtons. I wish there were less of them and more of Kate and Anthony! Overall, I loved it as usual and it even made me cry – wish there were more historical romances like this on tv.

Weekly Wrap Up | 3/14/22

Aloha friends!

Well you think I would get a break but of course not…we had a toilet leak from an upstairs bathroom and thank god my dad works in construction and knew how to fix the leak. It got fixed…or so we thought and then it leaked again the next day. So we had to wait a few days before he could come out to look at it again. Finally on Saturday he fixed the leak but it involved buying a new toilet. It was tiring, toilets are heavy 😖 but I’m so grateful for my dad for helping us out! Honestly that leak took over my week and I was about to have my period too so it was an exhausted week. My son is on spring break right now so I hope I get a little bit of time to read this week.

Weekly Wrap Up | 2/20/22

Aloha friends!

What a week! My poor hubby had to get a colonoscopy so Valentine’s Day was him on a liquid diet. I got my kids some Roblox gift cards and sweets so they were happy. My hubby gave me some pocket money for a Vegas weekend trip I’m planning for end of May – gonna see Silk Sonic in concert. I’m so fricken excited, I haven’t been on a plane in 11 years!! It was a week of appointments, why is it never ending? My son has started using Invisalign to correct his over bite and he has so much crowding – he still has some adult teeth coming in and there is no room in his mouth so we are getting all that fixed. Then my hubby and I went to a nice date night yesterday at a steakhouse – and ya know? Back in the day I loved eating steak but at my middle age lol…damn…my body can’t handle salt and butter and just heavy foods. I didn’t even have the steak! Today I have chores to do and then I just want to chill out and read — we shall see if my kids let me. 😅😆

Weekly Wrap Up | 2/13/22

Aloha friends!

What a week. I hate when one thing, like my dog having diarrhea for one night, can throw off my whole week. 😢😫 It kept me up most of Monday and Tuesday night, so I lost sleep. But my daughter is now fully vaxxed and my mom and sister dropped off some donuts for my kids as a Valentine’s day gift, so that was nice! Also, it’s Superbowl Sunday – so I’m gonna watch the game and dance to the halftime show since it’s Dr. Dre , Snoop Dog and others hahaha…talk about a blast from my past. It will make me feel like a teenager again. The first CD I ever bought with my own money was Dr. Dre, The Chronic! 🤣 My dad hated hearing the music I played but whatever…when I listened to hair metal in middle school, he thought I was worshipping the devil. Oh, good times! lol…

I also FINALLY got some motivation to do some crafting. I have really put aside working with resin, but I may move away from it anyway because I don’t have a really safe and good space to work on it, plus supplies are pricey (everything is pricey these days). I’m back to metal stamping because that still sells a little. So I’m trying to add more to my shop.

These are some resin bookmarks I made but wasn’t happy with how the resin didn’t harden fully so these bend a little. I busted out my Cricut machine and added vinyl words on top of it but I may still dome the top of it?

I was going for a Valentine’s Day kind of red but it turned out darker than I wanted lol…I didn’t add the tassels yet because I may be doming the top of them with resin. I’m undecided yet! Anyway, that’s what I did this week as far as crafting goes.
