It was a tiring, emotional and busy start to this week so I didn’t get much reading done but I did get to finish books at least. I just now need to sit down and write the review posts after I get a really good night of 8 hours of sleep. Been having some anxiety but I’m looking forward to the massage I booked tomorrow! It’s long overdue self-care. So I think I’ll be in the reading mood again soon – I hope!

I did get the e-book for The Sweetest Betrayal. I’m in love with the cover and need it on my shelf!

Weekly Wrap Up | 2/12/23

Aloha friends!

Today is the Super Bowl in the USA and the game will not have started when this posts but my family is rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles since my husband is from Philadelphia! The Kansas City Chiefs are a great opponent and their coach used to coach the Eagles so in a way we feel like we’ll be happy with whoever wins. I think having the Eagles win 5 years ago against Tom Brady and the Patriots took a lot of the edge off of my husband and me (he was such a bitter fan LOL…it was tough being married to him during football season 😆). I told him I’m his good luck charm because since he married me this is their second time going to the super bowl – woohoo! Anyway, my son isn’t a football fan so he’s whatever, my daughter loves to cheer the Eagles on and we’ll face time with my husband from the start to the end of the game so he can watch in Okinawa. I hope they win! If they don’t oh well, at least they got there, we weren’t expecting this year at all.

I got a few appointments done which is a relief. I was nervous about the one with the surgeon but since my lump is pre-cancerous I have a bunch of options! I can monitor it or get it removed. With my husband not here we had to discuss the options but my mom said she can totally stay with me and take care of me and the kids if I do the surgery – so I think I’ll do in the summer, after our Okinawa trip. I feel good about it – it’s a quick procedure, no overnight hospital stays involved and I should be after 1-2 weeks. Just in time to do back to school shopping. But we shall see, I have a few more appointments and consultations to go to before I make a final, FINAL decision on the surgery. And with that said – be sure to get your mammograms annually – so you can catch things like these early!

Can you believe we are pretty much at mid February?! It’s pretty wild to me. Anyway I hope all of you have a great week ahead!

Hi everyone, well it’s another Wednesday and this is what I’m reading in. I’m working on a book from my physical shelf, one from my online library, a Netgalley arc, and a book from Kindle Unlimited. 😅 It’s a good balance! Hope you have a great rest of the week!
