I was stuck in ths house with no power for 36 hours and just gloomy weather STILL, so I’ve been reading a lot. And a lot of the books are from Kindle Unlimited because I don’t have tons of arcs for April, so I’m actually done with my arcs! YAY. I love when I’m ahead. 😅. I think I’m doing really good with not requesting as many arcs as last year. It’s leaving my schedule open to reading non-arc books, so I feel good about my reading pace this year, there is less pressure trying to finish NetGalley arcs.

My kids were sick over the weekend and then we had a stormy weekend. It actually got COLD in Hawaii and when I say cold it was 59-62 degrees on Saturday. I was freezing 🥶. I did get some reading done, all my audiobooks on hold on Libby came through 🤦🏻‍♀️….so yes I’ve been trying to finish them so I can work on March arcs.

Also did you watch the Superbowl? The game wasn’t very exciting – I kind of tuned out, and the commercials were awful – what happened to fun and funny commercials of the past? 😩 So not even the commercials kept me entertained. The Bad Bunny halftime show was so good though 10/10 no notes! I was dancing! I loved how his set showed community – I loved the people who were the bushes and I loved seeing the elderly people during the show also. It was so good!

Dawn in Ruins by. Magda Mizzi – Chapter 1 – no progress – I don’t think I can read this one only because I believe it’s a spin-off from a series I never read. So I’m just going to do a spotlight of the book.

I am working on arcs from NetGalley but also arcs from indie authors! Glad to be supporting the indie authors and I wish I can read everyone’s book, but I can’t. 😅. But I’m trying to fit them into my reading schedule by requesting less from NetGalley. Now if only I can fit my physical TBR into my schedule lol – reader problems!!

Tomorrow is the BTS pre-sale and I already know it will be impossible for me to get anything because why are the Chicago and LA sale times during when I have to drop my kids off to school or pick them up? 😅 Like…I’m still going to try but…I doubt I can get anything. Today I am going to be in the Ticketmaster war for Bruno Mars tickets – hopefully for the Vegas show. 😩 I’ve seen him at every tour except for his first album – and he only has 3 albums and then the collab for Silk Sonic (I did see that show in Vegas). So may the ticket Gods be with me today! 😅 May the odds be in my favor!

And this is why I am back on a book buying ban again. It doesn’t help that BTS concert ticket presales are next week also and my sister really wants to go, so I’m trying to get tickets for her.
