A teen girl disappears from her small town deep in the bayou, where magic festers beneath the surface of the swamp like water rot, in this chilling debut supernatural thriller for fans of Natasha Preston, Karen McManus, and Rory Power.

La Cachette, Louisiana, is the worst place to be if you have something to hide.

This tiny town, where seventeen-year-old Grey spends her summers, is the self-proclaimed Psychic Capital of the World–and the place where Elora Pellerin, Grey’s best friend, disappeared six months earlier.

Grey can’t believe that Elora vanished into thin air any more than she can believe that nobody in a town full of psychics knows what happened. But as she digs into the night that Elora went missing, she begins to realize that everybody in town is hiding something–her grandmother Honey; her childhood crush Hart; and even her late mother, whose secrets continue to call to Grey from beyond the grave.

When a mysterious stranger emerges from the bayou–a stormy-eyed boy with links to Elora and the town’s bloody history–Grey realizes that La Cachette’s past is far more present and dangerous than she’d ever understood. Suddenly, she doesn’t know who she can trust. In a town where secrets lurk just below the surface, and where a murderer is on the loose, nobody can be presumed innocent–and La Cachette’s dark and shallow lies may just rip the town apart.

Funny Book Titles

I had to google this topic and it brought me down a strange rabbit hole of weird/funny titles – here are a few:

I am always crafting but…with cat hair? Wow!

Uh huh…my puppy hasn’t pooped in my shoe yet *knock on wood* but can he stop pooping on my dining room rug? I know, patience, it will get better…for the most part he poops outside, it’s just the times we don’t catch his cue to go out and he can’t hold it.

Now this one really made me laugh! What a catchy title! 🤣 I wish I could make quilts but sewing is not my favorite thing to do.

This was my face when I saw this…😳. I mean…🤷🏻‍♀️

Kids ask the funniest questions! I bet this book would be pretty funny.

Yes, who of us have always wanted a vampire for Christmas?! 😅 I want one for Halloween. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I feel like out of all of these titles, a wocket in my pocket sounds tame! 😂

I’d say this is more frightening than funny but can you imagine going through this book? I love pop-up books, so I think this is a little genius. 😅 Definitely for the thrill seekers!

😆🤣😳

I literally LOL’ed reading this title! 🤣 How can you not?

That’s all I got for you today! I hope these titles brought you some laughter today. Drop me your link in the comments! Would love to see your TTT post. 🙂
