Monthly Wrap Up | May 2025

May was a busy month as usual! There are always so many end of school things to do in May, tests, school events, doctor appointments, etc…and I got through it. YAY!

Monthly Wrap Up and Reading Journal Update | March 2025

I was reading so much in the first two weeks of March that I kind of got burnt out by the end of the month. I’m definitely using reading as a method to disassociate from all the stressful things happening in the USA and around the world. The amount of book reviews I post in a month is way different from what I actually read. According to my physical reading journal I’ve read 28 books in March. Some of them are arcs that are being published in later months which is why I haven’t posted them on my blog yet. SO…first here is the video of my latest reading journal wrap-up.

Oh November! It was filled with some ups, some major downs, and then everything else just came upon me in a rush and here we are at the last day of November. It was a chaotic month and I can say I’m glad we are putting it behind us but I’m also not ready for this year to be almost over. October has come and gone and what it was! We had a much needed Fall Break, then we cruised into Halloween. As for books, I wasn’t in a slump, per se, but I definitely feel invested in a few of the books I was reading maybe because it just got busy for me in the second half of October. I kind of feel like I’ve lost my steam for reading for the rest of the year lol…but we’ll see?

I read a lot and posted 14 books for September on my blog but I noticed most of them are 3-3.5 star reads. The Thirteenth Child is one of my favorite books this year, but yeah everything else was just okay.

I did listen to 1 audiobook – yay! It’s hard for me to the audiobooks but I try to do 1-3 a year.

Reading Monthly Wrap Up for August 2024

August was full of transitions! My kids went back to school, my son is now in middle school and we have new routines but I love how everything has really come together seamlessly. Now we are just counting the days until their dad is back home with us, which will be in 3 months.

I think with how busy I’ve been in August, I read a pretty good amount of books and posted a bunch of reviews. Question – do you post a review of every book you read? I’m just curious because I do, but I’ve wondered if I need to. 🤔 Just thinking of ways I can tweak my blog a little.

I actually read more books than I posted in August only because the arcs I read will be posted closer to their publication date. But wow, I’m amazed most of my book ratings in my August books are 3-3.5 stars! No 4-5 stars, shocking!
