I don’t think I did too well with reading books from the backlist this year. But I have a few on my bookshelf that I really, really, really want to knock off my list so I hope I can do in 2026. Anyway let’s see what books I read from the backlist.

Oh , If This Gets Real is a book I still need to read too. Metal Slinger seems new to me, but maybe that’s because it was brought to my attention with the translation being published recently.
Still, 33 books from the backlist is pretty good, because your backlist has some relatively new ones on there.
Metal Slinger was a booktok sensation – didn’t love the ending but it’s one of those books where I now need to read book two to see what happens next.
Yeah, I’m not on the platform so that’s probably why I haven’t heard of it before.
Looks like a great year! I enjoyed The Grandest Game and Thunderhead. I think the author is writing a prequel Scythe series now?
Oh wow I didn’t know about the prequel, I still need to read The Toll!
