Books I Was Super Excited to Get My Hands on but Still Haven’t Read  | TTT | Top Ten Tuesday 5/28/24

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Please check out her website for more TTT topics!

This week’s topic is:

Books I Was Super Excited to Get My Hands on but Still Haven’t Read

  • Sword Catcher by. Cassandra Clare – I’m not sure why I am so reluctantly lately to dive into fantasy worlds that have so much world building. As if I don’t have the patience to jump into these types of books right now. But I do want to read this one.
  • Empire of the Vampire by. Jay Kristoff – so many people say this one is good and again, I’m trying to motivate myself to jump into this fantasy world.
  • Extasia by. Claire LeGrand – I actually got 20% into this book last year and then put it aside. I will finish it this year!

The Secret Recipe for Moving On by. Karen Bischer – I put this on my night stand in January this year and then it moved back to my shelf LOL.

Have you read any of these?

  1. Just a little note, you haven’t updated the topic in the post itself, if you want to change it 🙂

I loved Hart & Mercy so much and you need to read it!!! Empire of the Vampire is also one that has lingered on my TBR for ages now. Hopefully I’ll get around to reading it… Soonish, lol. I hope you enjoy these whenever you pick them up!

    1. Thanks for catching that Dini! It’s been another week of not working on my blog because my hubby is home visiting – yay! But it’s been such a busy week 😩. Hopefully we all get to read Empire of the Vampire! It’s on so many lists!

  2. And yet another list I see Weyward on! It’s also on my TBR, but I haven’t gotten it so that doesn’t count.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes I read during the pandemic, when I binged The Hunger Games for the first time ever in one month. I finished the original trilogy in about a week, but I had to wait for this one to get released.

Sword Catcher was quite two-faced for me.

I still need to find the motivation to try Empire of the Vampire for the third time, I gave up on it twice. It’s a chonker and I don’t like the narrator for the audiobook at all so yeah.
