Weekly Wrap Up | 8/27/23

Aloha friends!

Well, I had my son home all week because he caught Covid from his sister and I. But honestly he had the most mild case, out of all of us. I’m still dealing with some stomach issues. Add to that our a/c broke but my brother-in-law took a look at it, found the broken part and it’s all about waiting for the part to come in right now. It’s been quite an annoying week, but all I wanted to do was my son and I to get better.

Today is my son’s 11th birthday! And we were gonna go to Cheesecake Factory with the family but, we’re postponing it to Labor Day weekend just to make sure he’s not contagious anymore. So it was a fairly chill week, we had to cancel some events because of being ill, but better safe than getting others sick.

I hope this week is better! Have a great week everyone!

  1. Oh my! Amd I thought getting sideswiped by a car was bad. I hope you get better soon! Take care of yourself and family!

    1. Oh no! Getting sideswiped by a car is bad – I hope you are okay?! We are FINALLY better, but it was quite a 2 weeks. I can’t believe school just started and each of my kids missed one week of school already lol. Just need my a/c to be fixed hopefully this week and we should be good.

      1. Yeah by the grace of whatever higher being you believe in, I came away unscathed and my bike only had a dented pedal. The car had more damage. She knew it was her fault. No way she is just ok with the damage and says don’t worry about it unless she knows she screwed up. I signaled I was going left, checked my rear view camera and looked over shoulder. She wasn’t there. She came out of nowhere. But I am in credibly lucky. It was a two way street and had a car been coming the other way? I’d be a gonner. And the bike is just a beast to take on that hit without a glitch.

I’m glad everyone in your family are doing better. Speaking as a former teacher, missing one of the first weeks is probably the best to miss. Or the week before Xmas lol. I wouldn’t worry too much. Now as for your AC? Ouch
