WWW Wednesday | 8/16/23

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words.

The idea is pretty simple, every week you dedicate a post to the three W’s:

What are you currently reading?

What have you just finished reading?

What are you going to read next?

My daughter had a fever on Sunday and it turned out to be Covid. It’s the first time she’s gotten it which is pretty amazing for Covid being around for 3 years and our whole household got it last year, but not her. Anyway she had fever for almost 3 days now but it has finally dropped to under 100 without medication – yay! She’s just dealing with the dry cough and some congestion. So yeah she had one week back to school and now one week of being out sick from school! 😅 Anyway, I didn’t get a lot of reading done, but here are the ones I’m working on.

What are you currently reading?

What have you just finished reading?

Heart of Night and Fire by. Nisha J. Tuli ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Main Character Energy by. Jamie Varon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Powerless by. Lauren Roberts ⭐️⭐️⭐️

What are you going to read next?

What are you reading right now?

  1. I’ve seen What the River Knows around quite a bit. I think I’ll have to check it out at some point. Great WWW Wednesday and I’m glad to hear your daughter is improving! 💚

  2. I swear all these books have such pretty covers. I believe I got an earc of Main Character Energy. I can’t wait to read that. A lot of this I’m super interested in just from the cover alone. Can’t wait to hear more of your thoughts on these.

  3. I have What The River Knows on my TBR (I’m reading it closer to its publication date) and I just got A Fate Inked in Blood yesterday. Can’t wait to read both reviews!!

      1. Ooooo….I like the sound of that. I’m reading it closer its publication date (I am overwhelemed with ARCs right now).

  4. People keep saying “COVID is over” but people are still getting sick, just not a lot of people talk about it anymore. I hope your daughter feels better soon, Yolanda, and I hope that you manage to get in some reading time and rest 🙂 A Fate Inked in Blood looks so good—is this a new series by Jensen?

    1. It’s a new series by Jensen with Norse mythology! Oh yeah, covid is back up here again as school is back in session, flu too. 😩 Now when my kids are back in school I’m like waiting to see what they get: covid, flu, strep, a cold, RSV, stomach flu? lol…it’s horrible and I’m always trying to dodge something! But I couldn’t dodge my daughter’s covid – ugh. I’m better today, but it was a rough weekend.
