Weekly Wrap Up | 2/26/23

Aloha friends!

Ugh what a week. I’ve been dealing with the chronic fatigue that comes with taking Tamoxifen and it SUCKS really bad. For three days straight, I was napping before lunch time, wanted to nap after bringing my kids home from school and had to crash early for bed. How can I survive this for 5 years? Well I did cut back on a lot of caffeine because I was trying to get my blood pressure to perfect 120/80 but I did have to give in and started to add back a tad bit more caffeine in my day and it helped. I’m not drinking a whole cup of it – my heart can’t handle that anymore…but a few sips actually helped me stay awake all day! Thank god, because I was getting scared there for a moment…I have 2 kids, I can’t sleep the day away!

My husband does come back to visit in 2 weeks so the kids are excited, my daughter’s mood has been amazing since she found out he’s coming home for a little bit. It will be nice!

Anyway I hope all of you have a good week ahead!

  1. Yay, glad your husband gets to come home for a little bit! Definitely, see the struggle in not having caffeine with two kids. Glad you are able to take some in to help keep you awake. Looks like you had a good reading week too. Have a great week!

  2. Oh wow, I’m so sorry that your new medicine is affecting your fatigue. I’ve been feeling fatigue lately as well, but rather than napping I’d been sleeping for 14 hours straight on the weekend for the past two weekends. I’m glad that you stopped drinking a lot of caffeine but still have a bit to help you stay awake for the most part. I’m also glad your husband is coming home soon! I’m sure you and the kids will be happy when he gets home 🙂 I know it’s just a visit but at least he can be home for a bit with you and the kids. Feel better, and I hope you have an amazing rest of your weekend. Great list of books!

    1. Thanks, the medicine sucks but it is what it is and I just have to figure out how to deal with it.
I sometimes wish I could sleep 14 hours straight lol! But your body probably needs it though, especially if you are busy during the week. I feel like because I have an alarm on during the week to wake up at 6am to get the kids ready for school, it’s automatic for my body now to wake up around that time or before that time. But I wish I could sleep in most days (hence why I’m looking forward to the summer break lol). I hope you have a good week ahead.
