I’m on a Kindle Unlimited kick right now lol…and it helps that these books are short and I can read them quick! I had a long September of doing a big order for my Etsy, a broken air conditioner and now I’m just catching up on reading! These shorter reads are getting my reading mojo back – there are SO many books I want to read this fall! I hope I can get to them.

I have so much to read but the a/c broke in our house last week and the repair people can’t see it until THIS Friday. I love on one of the hottest parts of the island so yeah…I’ve had to buy more fans to keep all of us cool but I am in no mood to read at all. I’m over the heat, thank god for days we have trade winds, but still…

Also I have a big order on my Etsy shop that I have to finish up by next week. So I’ve been hand stamping metal and sweating. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Not fun but in a way this living without a/c reminded me of my childhood – I actually lived without a/c until I moved to this side of the island with my hubby. My condition to moving on this side was that we have central air in the house we buy lol…the town I grew up in is near a valley with lots of trade wind flow, so I didn’t live with air conditioning until like twelve years ago. My body is so used to it now, I’m so miserable in this heat haha. Oh well…it is what it is! I just hope they fix it soon.

Anyway, I hope all of you have a better reading week than I am having!

I got no reading done this past weekend and it was a holiday weekend! I chilled and relaxed with my family, was playing Roblox with the kids (Pet Sim X and Adopt Me anyway? LOL…I grind so I can give my daughter pets. 🤦🏻‍♀️). Then on Labor Day (Monday) which is a holiday in the USA, we had a water balloon fight and slip and slide. It was a busy weekend. Hopefully I make headway on She Who Rides the Storm (not really feeling it) and When Night Breaks (it’s good so far)

I’m actually in the middle of reading a few books. I’ve just putting them down for a bit to get into the mood to read them! I hate when that happens lol because now I have a bunch of books to finish. But I’m glad my Netgalley list has a dent in it. Woohoo!

It’s been a rough start of the week because my daughter got sick and I had to go get her tested for covid – the test itself was a whole day affair of waiting, and driving back and forth since I had to pick my son up for school, etc…but she’s negative for covid and strep throat – guess she has a cold or sinus infection. But I’m exhausted just trying to take care of her and everyday household things – so reading is not my priority this week. When I try to read, I fall asleep lol…so I’m going to listen to my body and sleep!

I didn’t get much reading done because I was trying to do all my son’s back to school errands (new haircut, new shoes, school supplies, etc…) – he started school yesterday! So hopefully I’ll have a little more free time to read during the day…or not lol. I’m just going with the flow. What are you reading this week?

I just realized I have a bunch of half read books on my kindle app. Not because they weren’t good but because I had some arcs to finish up for August! 😆 Also I had a week of miserable PMS 😣, I had the headache and cramping…yuck and that’s not usually how I roll. Yes I always have the headaches but not the cramping. This time it’s both – UGH. Anyway, TMI, I know haha. Hope you got some good reading done!
