It was a tiring, emotional and busy start to this week so I didn’t get much reading done but I did get to finish books at least. I just now need to sit down and write the review posts after I get a really good night of 8 hours of sleep. Been having some anxiety but I’m looking forward to the massage I booked tomorrow! It’s long overdue self-care. So I think I’ll be in the reading mood again soon – I hope!

I did get the e-book for The Sweetest Betrayal. I’m in love with the cover and need it on my shelf!

Happy FEBRUARY! Are we really here right now in the second month of the year? January felt like it was so fast and yet slow too – weird, but if you know, you know. February is going to be filled with some doctor appointments and I’m excited for President’s Day weekend, just to get a break. I got only a few arcs due in February so I’ll start work on the ones due in March.

It’s amazing what a week not filled with a hundred tasks can do for my body. Headache/tight muscles went away the moment I could relax and didn’t have to run around like a chicken without it’s head. I got a chance to read and relax and just center myself. Hopefully I can get through more books this week!

I really, really want to read but it’s been a long week and I have tight muscle in my neck/shoulder (I’m self assessing myself because I used to be a massage therapist!)…that’s giving me twinges of a headache on the same side of my head of the tight muscle. I just need to get a massage so I can relax. I am reading The Stolen Heir and loving it just haven’t had time to finish. Same with One Dark Window! I hope I finish both books this week…but first I need to get a massage to loosen up the stress in my body.

It’s the first WWW Wednesday of 2023! I hope everyone had a nice New Year celebration. It’s hump day but it’s been a long week for me and it will be a long weekend for me also. So…I might not get much reading done this week – but this is what I’m working on!

I think I’ve officially slowed down for the year. I mean there is only a few days left of 2022 and there’s no book I’m pressing to finish before it ends. What I am trying to work on are arcs that are due in January and February. And some pleasure reading from the books I treated myself to, One Dark Window being one of them.

I’ll have more time to read when my kids go back to school next week Thursday (maybe) – I have a birthday party to throw. Maybe after that I’ll have more free time. But I can’t believe 2023 is already starting off so quickly. 😩 I also possibly have a Okinawa trip to plan soon so…I’m a bit overwhelmed lol. Hope you are getting to unwind a bit before the New Year!

I slowed down on reading this month! There was just so much to do with the end of school before Winter Break and then my hubby left this weekend for his 2 year contract in Okinawa, Japan. There was a crazy storm system moving over Hawaii since Sunday – lots of rain and wind! My husband left on a red-eye on Sunday night and his flight took him through 3 hours of turbulence to San Francisco where he was delayed almost 2 hours – then an 11 hour flight from there to Haneda airport in Japan, where he missed his connecting flight to Okinawa, but had a chance to book a ticket on a later one. Yesterday he finally face-timed me at 6am, my son came running into the room to say hi to him (Okinawa is like 43 hours ahead of Hawaii) so he’s in “the future” as I like to tell my kids. 😅 Anyway I’m glad he made it. I don’t envy him having to travel for 30 hours (yuck) – maybe now I can settle down, relax and read more books.

I’m working on arcs due in January but there is so much going on in my life right now I think I’ll come down to the wire on those. I also wanted to fit in some holidays reads so we’ll see how much I can fit into my schedule this month.
