And just like that we are in July. Is that crazy?! We are in the second half of the year! Wow…and July is gonna go by so fast. It’s time for back to school shopping and I have a few doctor appointments coming up. But June was a pretty productive reading month for after my 2 week vacation ended. I read about 15 books this month – most of them arcs! I think I did pretty good for June and we’ll see how July goes. Hope you had a good reading month!

Before June is over, I better finish this late May monthly wrap up. I was gone for the first 14 days of June – the trip was a success, but definitely an adventure. I’m in recovery mode now, the jet lag was kicking my butt. I hate that I left Japan on a Wednesday night and had a repeat of Wednesday morning when I got to Hawaii lol. Talk about time travel! It totally messed with my body and head. But I have no time to really rest. I had some doctor appointments, my kids weekend activities and having to keep them busy for summer break (or else we all drive each other bonkers in the house). I’m glad to be home! I posted 10 book reviews but I did read a bit more just so I had posts ready for June since I went on my trip. Not gonna lie, it was kinda nice to take a 2 week break from reading. Well, no, scratch that, I took a 10 day break from reading. A few days before my flight home I got the urge to read again and got to finish some arcs. I hope all of you had a good reading month!

Goodbye April and hello MAY. So one thing I’m proud of is that 5 of these 16 books were audiobooks. That is SO rare for me, but wow, I can’t believe I got through 5 audiobooks. I think I’m getting the hang of it. April was pretty steady – I posted the same amount of books that I did last month.

How was your April? I think May will be a slow month for me because I am going to be so busy with so many things and then getting ready for my trip. But I hope everyone has a good month!

Hello April! I have a lot to plan this month for a very busy May and June. I hate that I have to always look ahead and find myself not being totally present in the moment. March was nice especially because my hubby came home and we got to spend a week with him. It felt like our “normal”. 19 more months until he comes back for good!

I feel like I’ve slowed down my pace on reading in 2023. I think because I’m just so busy and exhausted most of the time. I was excited for the two 5 star reads I did read this month ~ now I’m trying to find more like it! Here’s hoping there are more 4-5 star reads for me in March.

It’s been a tiring 2023 so far and wow did February go fast. And I don’t want it to go fast but I’m also looking for key moments this year like my husband coming home to visit in 3 weeks. Also- yes I am looking forward to summer where the kids are out of school and we can sleep in everyday. 😅 I need the break! Well they need it more than I do, but man…I just want a break. Our first month of 2023 is done! How did January go for you? I felt like it was crazy busy in the beginning of the month, then I finally got a little rest but then I had some results from a breast biopsy I did for a lump they found in my annual mammogram and I was stressing about the results. It’s non-cancerous – yet. So now I’m scheduled to see a surgeon and I hope they can remove it easily and soon? Because I’m also trying to plan a family trip to see my husband in Okinawa at the end of May. Speaking of family…I thought my daughter was handling her dad being away pretty well – but now we see that she’s been crying a lot in school. It seems like every little thing right now can set her off and after some talking with her, she conveyed to me she misses her dad a lot. 😢 My hubby is concerned so he’s booked a flight to visit us in March, during their Spring Break. That will be so nice and I can have a little break too.

Needless to say, I haven’t read as much as I wanted to. I’m trying to catch up on arcs now but yeah, it was a hard month to get into reading!

December started with recovering from our vacation, recovering from catching a cold on vacation – then of course my daughter caught my cold or another cold from school. My husband was busy was packing up to leave for Okinawa, Japan and me trying to figure out everything what I needed to get in order. Plus Christmas shopping! Ugh…I ordered my photo Christmas cards the second week of December and apparently they won’t get to me until 12/23/22 or later LOL. Oh well – so I didn’t read much this month but that’s okay.
