It’s fall break for the kiddos so that means I’m trying to keep them entertained but it means we get to also sleep in which is nice! I’ve been trying to push through some books even though I sort of feel like I’m in a slump. I’m excited for a few books coming out this month though so hopefully that gets me out of my weird reading mood.

Yay, I got through 2 books this week! 💃🏻 I feel like I’m at my reading limit for the year lol…I’m slowing down even though there are so many book I need to read before the year ends. Okay…I don’t know what happened to me this past week but I only finished one book! Like how did I get so busy? I don’t know why Happy Place has been a struggle for me to read? Usually I can finish an Emily Henry book in one sitting, but this has taken me days – maybe I’m not feeling the second chance romance? I do like all the “happy places” she starts off in each chapter…but I’m not sure what it is but I’m not feeling it.

My a/c is fixed yay! My daughter caught a cold – boo! And then I pulled a muscle kind of in my lower back but right at the top of my hip – major BOO, and yes I pulled it while bending over to look in the freezer for something. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Like, how does that happen?! 😫 It’s such an inconvenience but hey at least I have a/c. So now that my house is nice and cool again, I am in the mood to read!

My family and I are all recovered! The part for the a/c came in yesterday so YAY to having my a/c fixed soon. You know I grew up without a/c but I grew up in the valley where we always had breeze or rain. Now I live in the dry and hot part of Oahu and I can’t live without a/c. Add to that my breast cancer prevention medication gives me the worst hot-flashes (especially near my period) well…it’s not fun and I’m irritable. 😅 Which is no fun for my kids at all – so yes…I need my a/c back. My hubby did get smart and decided to buy 2 of the motor parts that broke since like all parts for machinery they stop making them anymore. So we’ll be safe for a few more years I think before we have to replace the whole thing, which will cost a lot.

I am TIRED. So I got Covid, obviously, because my daughter had it but it knocked me out for a good 2 days over the weekend. I just needed sleep and Tylenol since I had a fever. I had no energy…but 2 kids to take care of since my hubby isn’t here. 😩 Oh and can’t forget we have a dog too who wanted his afternoon play time with me in the backyard – and who wanted to add his hot body to my own lol…he’s a sweetie but it was uncomfy at some points. My son did such a good job helping me out as I tried to quarantine from him and my parents came over one morning to help feed them breakfast and lunch. I’m so grateful (but hope they don’t get sick!). Of course it didn’t help to stay away from my son because now HE is home with Covid – and he will be out of school for the whole week. I ‘m still working on getting rid of the congestion (I can sort of finally smell things now! Yay!) and I am less dizzy and nauseous-hooray!. But it never ends…our air conditioner broke. So yes we are now running the fans and trying to keep cool – thank god the weather forecast said it will be windy all week. 🙏🏼 My bro-in-law will come over to take a look at it tomorrow and hopefully can fix it.

My daughter had a fever on Sunday and it turned out to be Covid. It’s the first time she’s gotten it which is pretty amazing for Covid being around for 3 years and our whole household got it last year, but not her. Anyway she had fever for almost 3 days now but it has finally dropped to under 100 without medication – yay! She’s just dealing with the dry cough and some congestion. So yeah she had one week back to school and now one week of being out sick from school! 😅 Anyway, I didn’t get a lot of reading done, but here are the ones I’m working on.

My kids started school this week and I had to comfort some nerves but first day went to well and I think it’s going to be a good year for both of them! What I love about them being back in school is now I can get some quiet time in the house before they came home. Of course I ended up just cleaning and running errands but I did get a little reading in here and there.

**I am coming back to read A Venom Dark and Sweet, and Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute because my borrowed copies expired. For Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute, my copy got messed up and I had to re-download it but I couldn’t because it also expired so I have to wait for it again. **
