I am so glad Christmas is over. I feel like it’s been non-stop since the kids went on winter break – I looked at the calendar and realized they only went on break this past Friday lol. Why does it feel like it’s been a week or two already? 😅 And now everyone is gearing up for New Year’s Eve, but usually we stay in for that night because this whole island lights fireworks, it’s loud, my dog gets scared and my kids always sleep through midnight – no matter how many times I try to wake them up. I’m tired but there is no rest is there? 😩 Just hoping I can get some of these arcs read before they are published in January!

ASAP by. Axie Oh – if you read XOXO, then this one is about Nathaniel and Sori! I’m 16% into this one.

A Place for Vanishing by. Ann Fraistat – I am about 11% into this one and it’s definitely intriguing!

If I Promise You Wings by. A. K. Small – haven’t started this one yet but I will since it’s publishing in a few weeks!

5 days until Christmas y’all! My hubby is home but even with him home, I feel more exhausted? I got to go over to my mom’s house this weekend and helped do some cleaning. She’s always cleaning but since her surgery she can’t do heavy lifting – even though I know she wants to! So I did the cleaning for her. Her healing is going well, she still feels a bit weak but she looks better each time I see her.

What are you currently reading?

ASAP by. Axie Oh – if you read XOXO, then this one is about Nathaniel and Sori! I’m 16% into this one.

A Study Drowning by. Ava Reid – 2% in this one and I don’t know why I have no interest in it right now. So this might be one I come back to at a later time.

Dark Star Burning, Ash Falls White by. Amelie Wen Zhao – I’m 28% into this book and hoping I can finish before it publishes in 2 weeks!

The Getaway List by. Emma Lord – I’m 13% into this one and enjoying it. I love the bright cover too! Yellow covers make me happy!

We are coming to mid-December and I have lost my reading mojo fo real! My kids have been sick, my mom just got out of the hospital (but doing so so well 🙏🏼), the school spirit week is next week and holiday parties! And my hubby comes home this Saturday to visit so…I’m tired? lol…oh December – you always do this to me!

I’ve been so busy since coming home from vacation but I did manage to finish one book! Yay me 😅. There is just too much going on, but I’m ready for my kids winter break but that’s not for another 2 1/2 weeks. It can’t come soon enough. Let me know what you are reading right now!

I just got back from vacation yesterday and what a trip it was! We had an amazing time and I had no chance to really read. I read on the 9 hour flight going to Osaka, but coming home it was a 5 hour trip and I actually was so exhausted I knocked out. So I’m back and I have so much Christmas stuff to do, Hanukkah too – just so much shopping to do. Tis the season! 😅 We’ll see what books I can finish this week…

I finally feel about 90% recovered – thank goodness because it was an awful past two weeks. Thank you to Flonase, my nose has stopped dripping – but now I have the sinus headache – it’s getting better though. My cough is 95% gone and I can finally get a good night’s sleep.

We are headed to Osaka, Japan next Tuesday, and I’m just trying to make sure I have everything I need for the kids and my parents who are joining me. It should be a fun trip – the highlight will probably be Universal Studios because my kids are so excited to go to Super Nintendo World!

I finally got a copy of Iron Flame after cancelling my pre-orders (that was shipping out as fast as I would like). I got an ebook which works for me. I’m still not in the reading mood yet because I’m trying to get a lot of things done before my trip! So we shall see what I can finish up reading this week.

Happy November! Kids got sick over the weekend, we had parent conference meetings on Monday, and Trick or Treating on Tuesday so it’s been already a busy week! I hope I can finish these two books this week. I’m trying to finish my November arcs because I’m going on vacation around Thanksgiving.

I feel like I am just slow in reading this month! It’s taking me days to finish books I can usually finish in one night. But I’ve been sleeping earlier – maybe it’s just age catching up to me! lol…anyway this is what I’m reading and what I’ve finished the last couple of days.

The Woman in Me by. Britney Spears – I just bought this one yesterday and I’m 8% in. It’s a quick read but definitely fascinating so far! I always did love Britney – her songs bring me back to my late teens and early twenties which was such a fun time in my life.

Okay I didn’t finish many books this past week because Throne of the Fallen took up my days. It actually took me 3 or 4 days to read that one! Not that it’s bad, but it’s a long one, clocking in at 627 pages. I remember buying it as an ebook but then I went to Barnes & Nobles with my kids a couple days ago and I saw it on the table and gasped because the cover was so pretty. But then I saw how thick it was and was relieved I bought the ebook. I just cannot read a thick tome of a book anymore – it kills my wrists and it’s a problem trying to read in bed at night with a book that thick. And I don’t have daylight hours to devote to reading so ebooks are where it’s at for me. Though I still want the book for my shelf just because it looks pretty lol…

Didn’t See That Coming by. Jesse Q. Sutanto – Just started this one but I’m at 11% – will probably read this one the quickest because there is no dense world building to get through and it’s YA so that is usually a quick read for me.

Starling House by. Alix E. Harrow – I just got this one on my online library and I’m excited to read it!
