A COURT OF SILVER FLAMES – SARAH J. MAAS

I don’t love the cover. BUT, I feel like a broken record since I keep posting this one book – this is the book I NEED this year. I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for Nesta’s story. So I am ready!

I’m not sure if I will reread the whole series before this book comes out because I’ve read it a lot already. I have so many other books to catch up on and the ACOTAR series is pretty fresh in my mind. Maybe I’ll just read the novella, A Court of Frost and Starlight to prep my up for ACOSF.

JADE CITY – FONDA LEE

I have this on my kindle app, I just have to get started on reading it. I keep trying to start then realize I have an arc I have to finish up. I might have to put off requesting arcs for awhile just so I can get to finish reading everything on my shelf or kindle app.

I have heard a lot about this one. I’m seeing it in many blogs so I look forward to reading this one.

BLOOD & HONEY – SHELBY MAHURIN

I don’t know what happened ~ I started this in 2020 and never finished it. I’m determined to finish it in 2021, hopefully this month even. It’s not that the story isn’t good, it’s just that the holidays got in the way. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It was a wild ending to 2020…and even wilder start to 2021.

I’ll get to all the books, soon!!

THE HEART PRINCIPLE – HELEN HOANG

I love my young adult books but I really need to add more adult titles on TBR as well. It’s just so easy for me to gravitate towards YA but I miss my adult fiction, so I need to do better at seeking it out.

This book is Quan’s story and I’ve been waiting for it since reading the The Kiss Quotient and The Bride Test last year! I loved Quan when he showed up in those books so I think this one will be good!

SOULMATE EQUATION – CHRISTINA LAUREN

I am a new Christina Lauren fan ever since reading The Unhoneymooners. The more I read their books the more they have become a must-read author for me, so I look forward to this one.

I will definitely be reading these books this year, what about you? What will you be reading for sure in 2021?

Top 5 Worst Rulers (Kings, Queens, etc..)

Cersei Lannister, Game of Thrones Series

I’m starting the book series finally this week but at least in her television portrayal…she is one bad woman! Complicated, incestuous, power-hungry, messed up…but a loving mother who will kill for her children (literally). She was scary to watch on tv and I loved to hate her. She is one of the worst because of her killer instinct but honestly I did admire how she smart she was to stay ahead of everyone wanting the throne. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Maven Calore, Red Queen Series

Another person with a messed up childhood, because of his MOTHER. UGH…her mind control powers made Maven unstable, which is unfortunate. He had so many personal demons but he was also so manipulative. 😒

Keris Veturia, Ember of Ashes Series

Keris Veturia…the Commandant. She’s cruel to her own son, hated him from the moment she knew she was pregnant because she was raped by his father! 😞 She is a hard woman with a hard heart.

Rat King Silan Veliant, The Bridge Kingdom

What father trains his daughters, pits them against each other (even if they die) and sends the survivor to infiltrate his enemies’ kingdom? The Rat King, that’s who. 😳

Queen Amarantha, ACOTAR

The queen that put the high lords of Prythian under a curse! They all wore masks and did her bidding until Feyre came along and endured the trials that almost killed her. I was happy to see Queen Amarantha defeated.

Top 5 Cute Romances

I mean – can you blame me? The books were SO cute that even the movies turned out cute. 💕 Jenny Han’s does cute so well!

Another author who does cute well? Kasie West. Whenever I need to read a light hearted young adult romance, I can always pick a book from this author and it satisfies my cute romance cravings.

These days I try to stay away from romances where someone is clearly going to die. I sobbed my eyes out in this one. UGH. But Hazel and Augustus were just the cutest couple. 😭💔

It’s not a cute romance, but Sydney and Adrian are so cute together! I had to throw this one because I love how they get together.

It’s Jenn Bennett, her characters always always have engaging dialogue. Love her books!

I read more cute romances when I was younger, now I read so many fantasy novels there is always some kind of heavy drama going on haha. But it’s nice to pick up a cute romance to escape once in awhile. What’s on your list as a cute romance book?

Aloha everyone! I’m gonna change it up a little since I’ve been slacking on doing the TTT’s. It’s been all about homeschooling, crafting, and de-stressing in these COVID-19 days. How have you all been? I’ve had some trouble finding books to really lose myself in, maybe because of the state of the world we’re in? I don’t know. But I’m not going to force myself.

Top 5 Series I Want To Start

This book has been on my shelf for about…4 months now? I don’t even know if I’ll get to it in 2020!

I hear so many good things about this series that I hope I start this one soon.

Another one that has been hiding on my shelf. I LOVE the cover and I’ve heard pretty good things about the series.

The first two books were on sale at Bookoutlet and I couldn’t resist. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve been meaning to read this one for awhile! I couldn’t resist getting this one on Bookoutlet also.

Top 5 Books I Didn’t Get To In 2019

There are so many I didn’t get to, but I’m not going to try and fit them in at this point. I have arcs to get to first!

She’s still sitting on my shelf all pretty but…I will maybe get to it in January!

I found a discounted copy of this on Bookoutlet and it finally arrived! I made a big order during their Black Friday sale – maybe it’s a good thing it almost takes a month for their shipment to get to me. I have so many books lined up for 2020. 😂 But this title will have to wait until next year for me to get to.

Another discounted find from Bookoutlet! I heard so many good things about this and look at that cover. 😍

I really thought I’d get to this in December, but I have arcs to finish up that are due in a few weeks! So hopefully I’ll finish this in January.

I won this arc on Bookishfirst and it finally came in yesterday so it will have to wait in line.

I have definitely slowed down on reading and blogging this month but I’ll try to pick it up again once my son goes on winter break. Have a lovely Tuesday!
