My Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl but let me tell you…I was a nervous wreck on Sunday. I couldn’t even watch the first half of the game so I missed a lot. I could only fully watch when I knew they were winning-winning LOL. My heart just can’t do Super Bowls when my team is in it. UGH. So proud of them, I love this team so much, especially this year. Like I was so stressed, I went to bed with body aches (and I did nothing physical except watch this game, maybe I paced around?!). Anyway, I didn’t read much because I was on a victory high since Monday lol…but I will get to reading this week.

Thunderhead by. Neal Shusterman – 14%
Onyx Storm by. Rebecca Yarros (owned) – 70%, I took a break all weekend lol…my goal is to finish this week. 😅
Filthy Rich Vampire by. Geneva Lee – 1% just started!
Something Like Fate by. Amy Lea (arc) – 8% gotta get to this one!
When the Bones Sing by. Ginny Myers Sain(arc) 18% – a March arc so I’m working on it!

How’s Thunderhead? I read Scythe and loved the premise but I found it too slow. I dnf the rest of the series.
I’m currently reading Last Violent Call by Chloe Gong.

I put Thunderhead aside for awhile now (years), but my son is reading Scythe right now and it’s been so fun discussing it with him so I wanted to finish the series so we can discuss it more. Also I think with what’s happening in the field of AI and tech these days, I feel like the story has become so relevant! We’ll see how I feel about the rest of the series. Enjoy Last Violent Call!

I’m such a fan of the Shusterman series – one of my favorites by him. I also have an ARC of When the Bones Sing – hope we enjoy it!
My son is reading Scythe and he really likes it so I want to finish the series since I have them all on my bookshelf lol. It’s fun to discuss it with him!

Are these Lexi Ryan books all part of the same series or are they standalones? I love these covers so much! 😍 Congrats on your team winning the Super Bowl! Part of the same series! It’s listed as book 3 and 4 but many Goodreads members say it’s a spinoff of the first duology? I think it’s because the first two books are clearly Abriella’s story. Then the last two books I read are about her sister, and another girl named Felicity, so I can see why they say it’s a spin off. But it all fits and continues the story from the first 2 books. I hope you eventually get to read the books on your shelf! lol I’m the same with books I buy, I don’t read them right away or ever. 😅. Have a nice week!
I am so glad the Chiefs lost. LOL. It’s all I cared about since my team sucks. :-P. Anyways, I hope you finally finish Onyx Storm. You’re getting to the action of the book… I can’t wait to see what you think at the end of it. I have so many arcs now.. wwhhhyyy do I keep doing this to myself?! lol
LOL – there were a lot of people rooting against them! My goal is to finish this weekend, since my kids have a 4 day weekend, we can relax a little. I had only a few arcs picked for this year and so I was like…I need more? And now I’m trying to catch up LOL. We always do this to ourselves.

I did finish and gave it 2.5 stars- the pacing was really making me lose interest. Here is hoping book 4 is better!
I was generous with 3.5 stars… but now I don’t think it’s worth that. haha. I don’t know… two books have been terrible and I’m not confident about book 4. lol
Definitely not going to rush into reading book 4 – at least we’ll always have Fourth Wing! lol
