The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book-related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blogs.

Question: Have you ever been enticed to read more by an author by a book? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)
Answer:
I don’t think I ever need enticement to read more lol…I read too much as is! But I still say social media always entices me to read a book – not so much booktok but bookstagram. I’m a sucker for a pretty picture! So sometimes if I scroll through my bookstagram feed, I might find more books to add to my ever growing TBR list.

Same with me. I already read more but yes sometimes a book makes me want to read more books in a particular genre.
Oh most definitely!
I agree. Social media is definitely a big factor in what I read most of the time as I’m still pretty new to the bookish community. But I have branched out a bit and am finding new books in a certain genre just from things like “Readers also liked…” lists on Amazon and Goodreads.
Yes it’s a big factor and makes me add titles to my ever growing TBR list!
I am the same as you. I read too much but it doesn’t stop me from adding books to my TBR if I like the author. I don’t need to be enticed to read…lol.
😆
It seems to me that if an author’s book *doesn’t* entice you to read more of their work, or at least go looking for more to see if you’ll like it, then they aren’t really doing their job properly are they? I’m not sure I understand what the point would be if that wasn’t the goal.
True! I think it’s always the goal. But I have come across some books that were okay but had potential, so I would give the author another chance and read another book and then stop reading books from that author altogether because I figure out their style is just not for me. At least I was enticed enough to try before deciding though!
