WWW Wednesday | 5/17/23

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words.

The idea is pretty simple, every week you dedicate a post to the three W’s:

What are you currently reading?

What have you just finished reading?

What are you going to read next?

Third week of May and I did much better finishing books! I think because I want some pre-written posts to be ready for when I go on vacation.

What are you currently reading?

I’m listening to 10 Truths and a Dare as an audiobook!

What have you just finished reading?
What are you going to read next?

What are you reading right now?

    1. I really need to sit and finish it lol and not because I can’t get into it – I’ve just been so busy and I can read ebooks faster at night, but my Well Matched copy is a paperback. But what I read so far is great! Hopefully I can read more of it this weekend!

  1. How are you liking Hello Stranger? And how did you like House in the Cerulean Sea? I loved both (read Hello Stranger for review and House in the Cerulean Sea for a reading challenge).

    1. I started Hello Stranger, but I really needed to finish another arc so I put it aside. But the one chapter I did read, I liked! So I have a good feeling about it and House in the Cerulean Sea was just the sweetest. I loved it!

      1. It really was the sweetest book and lived up to its hype. And Hello Stranger was funny, sweet, and a little sad at the same time.

  2. I cannot get enough contemporary romance lately so “Well Matched” and “Hello Stranger” have been added to my TBR pile (thank you!). I look forward to reading what you think about them. My book club was looking for something to shake things up a bit last month and we came across author Lisa Battalia and her Midlife Romance Series (only two books so far). We finished book 1 “Awake” and let me tell you I purchased book 2 “Second Chances” before I had even finished the first one. The leading lady Lori is witty, relatable and definitely not your typical “damsel in distress.” Recently divorced (husband UP and LEFT) leaving her with the kids and career on hold because of her growing family. Although her marriage had reached an obvious level of complacency and routine, she never expected that she would have to start over again. Luckily, an old friend (and old flame) Brandon is also divorced and their paths cross once again. This is such a fantastic story because it’s not easy or perfect, it’s messy, it’s life! Both Lori and Brandon have their own real-world problems they have to deal with while trying to make a long-distance relationship work. Lori has to think about her children and can’t just pick up and leave on a romantic trist. You really care about these characters and you want it to work! If you end up giving it a chance PLEASE let me know (or post about it!)

    Happy Reading!
